How to use flash/upgrade MTK Smart Watch and MTK Feature Phones using FlashTool

This is just another tool from MediaTek to flash smart watch & feature phones with MTK chips. Do not confuse this with SP Flash Tool this one works on devices with MT62xx chips and for me this tool is way too easy to use than MultiportDownloadTool. You can use this tool to flash devices whose firmware is either in scatter file .txt or .cfg . 

To flash smart watches and other devices with MT62XX chips using this tool, just follow the steps below. 

Stage 1. Download and install MTK usb drivers here 

Stage 2. Download FlashTool V5.1424.00 here 

Stage 3. Launch Flash_Tool.exe 

Stage 4. Click OK on the dialogue box that pops up 

Stage 5. Click on Scatter/Config File icon 

Stage 6. Navigate and select the folder of the firmware you want to use. 

Stage 7. Locate and select the .cfg or scatter.txt file inside this folder 

Now click Download button or Press F9 on keyboard. 

 

Now insert battery into the phone and connect to PC with USB cord. 

When phone is detected, flashing process will begin. 

It takes just few seconds to complete (depending on the size of the firmware). 

A circle with tick will appear showing flash process is successful. 

Disconnect the phone from PC and take out battery. 

Insert battery into phone again and boot it up. 

That’s all you have just successfully flashed your mtk feature phone.
